About Our Studios
Find the perfect space for your dance or theatrical rehearsals, exams, or classes
At Newcastle Ballet Theatre, we're proud to offer four state-of-the-art studios for hire. Our facilities are designed to meet the needs of dancers and performers of all levels, from recreational to professional. Our studios feature sprung floors, mirrors, and top-quality audio equipment to ensure an optimal rehearsal experience.
Studio Specifications
Our studios are versatile and can be used for a wide range of activities, including dance, yoga, pilates, fitness classes, personal training, martial arts, photography, modelling, dance workshops, and more.
Studio One
Studio One is our largest studio, featuring 15m x 9.5m of floor space with a 7m ceiling clearance. Equipped with grey Harlequin Tarkett flooring over custom built sprung floor and 15m wall installed mirrors. This studio features 13.5m wall attached ballet barres and Bluetooth/Auxiliary audio.

Studio Two
Studio Two is our mid-sized studio, featuring 5.65m x 8.95m of floor space with a 5m ceiling clearance. Equipped with grey Harlequin Tarkett flooring over custom built sprung floor and 5m wall installed mirrors. This studio features a split aircon/heating wall unit and ceiling fans plus Bluetooth/Auxiliary audio.

Studio Three
Studio Three offers a spacious floor area of 7.2m x 9.3m with a 5m ceiling clearance. Equipped with black Harlequin Tarkett flooring over custom built sprung floor and 5m wall installed mirrors. This studio features natural light from two large windows, split aircon/heating wall unit, and Bluetooth/Auxiliary audio.

Studio Four
Studio Four has a floor area of 5.8m x 10.5m, featuring a 6m acro mat and large acro cylinder. The studio is equipped with gray Harlequin Tarkett flooring and 12m of wall-attached ballet barres. This studio also features a split aircon/heating wall unit and Bluetooth/Auxiliary audio equipment.

Booking Information
Our studios are available for casual and ongoing hire, subject to availability. Minimum booking is one hour, with 30-minute increments thereafter.
Dance shoes preferred.
No stilettos or tap shoes.
Please avoid coloured rubber soles where possible.
No food permitted in any studio.
A setup and shutdown checklist will be provided.
Studio hire is available during staffed and after-hours periods (see availability below).

Studio hire may be available during staffed hours and outside our usual staffed times. Availability during regular class hours is limited.

Certain activities, footwear, or equipment may not be permitted due to the specialised studio flooring used throughout all four studios
